Our Stake
A Stake in Saskatchewan has existed since November 1978 with the Stake office located in Regina. Noel W Burt was the first Stake President with Raymond Clayton and Lawrence Penner as his counselors. In October 2001, Elder Russell M. Nelson visited and reorganized the stake to form the Regina Saskatchewan Stake and the Saskatoon Saskatchewan Stake and called a new Stake President here in Saskatoon, Eric Slocombe. Along with his counsellors, Milton Derry and Blaine Jensen, they were in operation over the next 9 years. Our current Stake President, Kevin Ledding, was called in August 2019 and is at the helm with his current counsellors, Eric Michael and Kirt Prete. Our Patriarch is John G Spencer.
We have had the privilege of experiencing many dignitaries in person, interestingly enough all Apostles now. Dieter F Uchtdorf, Quentin L Cook, Dale G Renlund, D. Todd Christofferson. We were part of the Saskatchewan Stake, which was created in November 1978, when Gordon B Hinckley visited in 1998 to announce a Temple that would be built in Regina. It was dedicated the following year.
Here are a couple of articles to help get to know our history.

The word Zion
has various meanings in the scriptures. The most general definition of the word is "the pure in heart" (D&C 97:21).
Zion is often used in this way to refer to the Lord's people or to the Church and its stakes.
